While blood pressure may return to normal after the period of stress, chronic stress can cause your body to be in that state long-term causing blood pressure issues.
Reducing your stress levels is essential to overall health. Try incorporating some exercise, and deep breathing into your daily routine. Eating a balanced and healthy diet will also help your body better manage stress.
Did you know that high blood pressure is considered a silent killer? This is because many people with high blood pressure don’t even know they have it! Untreated high blood pressure can lead to heart attack and even heart disease, so it’s crucial to keep on top of your blood pressure readings to make sure they are in the healthy range.
Here are some tips to help keep your blood pressure levels healthy:
Tip #1: Try Garlic
Garlic has long been used for its blood pressure supporting benefits. Garlic can help relax your blood vessels and ultimately lower your blood pressure. Try adding fresh garlic to your recipes to support heart health.
Tip #2: Enjoy More Bananas
Who would have thought that a banana a day could help regulate blood pressure? Bananas are high in potassium and magnesium which both play a crucial role in regulating your blood pressure. If you aren’t a fan of bananas by themselves, try adding a frozen one to your daily smoothie.
Tip #3: Try Coconut Water
Here’s another great source of potassium and magnesium making it a great refreshing beverage for blood pressure support. Coconut water also makes a great post-workout thirst quencher as it will help to replace lost electrolytes.
For this week’s challenge, I challenge you to follow a blood pressure supporting plan by eliminating certain foods and activities while trying to add in some healthier options.

- Quit smoking
- Exercising daily

- Getting at least 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night
